Meet Kate,
Office Manager
Kate has an academic background in psychology, biology, and neurodevelopmental research. This background has contributed to her understanding of child development and her appreciation for the individualized supports children and families may require throughout the assessment and intervention process.
Kate coordinates many aspects of Acorn Psychology's daily operations. She works closely with all members of the clinical team while also communicating with families, schools, educators, physicians, and other professionals involved in client care. Her role helps ensure that clinic processes are organized in such a way that families are supported as they navigate services at Acorn.
Kate places a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming and responsive experience for families. She recognizes that seeking psychological services can sometimes feel unfamiliar or overwhelming and strives to make access to assessment and counseling as clear, organized, and supportive as possible.
Originally from a small community in Northern Canada, Kate developed an early appreciation for community, connection, and supporting others. These values continue to inform her approach to her work with Acorn's clients, families, and clinical team.
