Meet Candice,
Registered Provincial Psychologist
Candice completed her Master’s degree in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary, where she also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education.
Candice brings more than 15 years of combined experience in education and psychology to her work with children and families. Prior to entering psychology, she spent more than a decade supporting students in educational settings through roles that included classroom teacher, special education coordinator, and literacy specialist. Her work involved supporting diverse learners, developing interventions, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary school teams.
In her current role, Candice conducts comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify children's individual learning strengths and needs and to develop practical strategies for supporting their success. Her background in both psychology and education allows her to consider assessment findings within the context of the child's everyday learning environment and communicate recommendations meaningfully to families and educators.
Candice's therapeutic work is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and attachment-based principles for parental support. Across her work with children, adolescents, and families, she values collaboration, curiosity, empathy, and an individualized understanding of each client.
