Experience Dyslexia Form
Please complete this form if you are interested in attending our Experience Dyslexia event.
Experience Dyslexia is an interactive, simulation-based workshop designed to help parents, educators, and professionals better understand what it feels like to have dyslexia. Through hands-on activities, participants experience some of the challenges associated with reading, writing, processing speed, and working memory.
The goal is to build empathy, deepen understanding of how dyslexia can affect learning and daily functioning, and translate that understanding into more effective and supportive strategies for children.
Date: October 21
Time: 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Location: 755 Lake Bonavista Drive SE, Unit 244
Workshop length: Approximately 90 minutes
Cost: $10 per person
Please include the name of each person attending when completing the registration form.
Payment: Please e-transfer the total registration fee ($10 per attendee) to info@acornpsychology.ca. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Calgary Public Library.
A note about registration: Because Experience Dyslexia is an interactive group simulation, it relies on having an appropriate number of participants. There is both a minimum and maximum number of attendees for the workshop to run effectively.
Please register only if you are committed to attending. Once you register, we will be counting on your participation, as last-minute cancellations or no-shows can affect the experience for the entire group.
Space is limited, and registration will close once we reach capacity.
If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can offer your spot to someone else.
